Who am I?
I’m Chris Thompson.
Where do I work?
I work at Copyblogger Media in Dallas, Texas.
What do I do at Copyblogger?
Anything .NET related. Now if you know anything about Copyblogger you’ll probably say “You work with the coolest people on Earth, can I touch you?” No. The next thing you’ll say is “Hey, Copyblogger is all WordPress intensive, the CEO wears jeans and has long hair, you have the best parties at SXSW, what the heck are you doing working with .NET? I mean…didn’t George Bush waterboard people with .NET or something?”
I may be one of the few people in the world who feels that competing technologies can co-exist in one big happy universe. So while Copyblogger’s PHP warriors focus on certain products, I, using .NET, focus on others. The results are a fascinating look at how two differing technologies can work together with relative ease and produce some of the best darn products in the world.
So that’s all for now. Most likely you’ll never read a word of anything written here…but then again, if you don’t then that means I’m an embarrassment to my boss(es).
What is this blog for?
The main reason I started it was so that I have a testing bed for stuff I, and my co-workers, develop. Having a local install with the URL “http://localhost:56789/wp” really hurts.
Epilogue
So, I’m sick of writing this now so I’ll stop. Thank you for reading and if you’d please, leave a comment so that I know you agree that I’m awesome because I have a blog again.
Thompson out.
